Roger Lorenzen started the first annual Central Area Garden Tour in 1998. Another Vine Mess has hosted the International Clematis Society at our Clematis Display garden in 2001 as well as the Pacific NW Clematis Society 2000 and 2001. | Some of the gardening projects have included challenging fence and deck building; design and implementation of new garden beds, some with rockeries; extensive and expert pruning. We love to build patios and walkways from material such as Pennsylvania bluestone. We love the creative projects such as the Thai hot tub temple. We are also collectors of CLEMATIS plants and have a display garden of over 200 clematis plants. We like to especially collect the rarer varieties and also propagate them so we can plant more in the garden. We have been able to provide some clients with some of these beauties ! We have seen clematis in New Zealand, Thailand, Peru and in many parts of the USA. We have sold clematis and other perennials in the Seattle area for at least 12 years. |
